Sales Manager – Plantation FL and Chicago, IL
TradeStation Securities is seeking a Sales Manager in our Florida and Illinois offices. The Sales Manager will be responsible for direct supervision of a team of Registered Representatives. The Manager plays a key role in the training, support and ongoing development of their team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as a Registered Principal, supervise the sales activities of a group of Registered Representatives.
  • Train, coach and mentor new and existing employees.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Serve as a technical expert for operational and platform related questions.
  • Approve accounts for payroll.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

The Sales Manager must have the ability to work long hours, including some weekends. A Bachelors Degree, minimum of 5 years sales experience and Series 7, 63, 3, 30 and 24 required.

Product Management Department – Plantation, FL
TradeStation Securities is growing and we are looking to expand our Product Management Team that is responsible for TradeStation, the most award-winning, state-of-the-art trading platform. We have the following opportunities for individuals who are passionate about customers, detail-oriented, analytical, love technology and excel at building relationships and coordinating people to drive projects to completion:

Product Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for understanding, prioritizing and defining the customer needs, managing the product life cycle, and working closely with many teams such as Development, Sales and Marketing to keep TradeStation on the cutting edge.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and give guidance to top management on the platform roadmap and key functionality
  • Evaluate and prioritize features that tie market research to company vision
  • Evaluate and invent new product ideas
  • Enjoy spending time in the market to understand the opportunities or issues, and find innovative solutions
  • Translate the customer and market needs into product requirements
  • Work closely with engineers to specify and scope features and understand and optimize functionality
  • Manage the product life cycle from conception through release and beyond by collaborating with Developers, Vendors, QA, Operations and Marketing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s/MBA a plus)
  • 3+ years experience as a product manager in the securities industry and/or 5+ years experience in the securities industry (Institutional brokerage experience a plus)

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion

Web Product Manager
TradeStation Securities is looking to expand its Product Management team, by adding a manager who will be responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the company’s web-based initiatives. This Product Manager will ensure that all web site and supporting activities fulfill the needs of the customer while simultaneously meeting the business objectives of the company. This will be accomplished through understanding, prioritizing and defining the customer needs, managing the product life cycle, and working closely with many teams, such as Product Development, Sales and Marketing.

Technical Recruiter – Plantation, FL
TradeStation Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRAD) is the parent company of two operating subsidiaries: TradeStation Securities, a self-clearing broker-dealer (Member FINRA, NYSE, SIPC & NFA) that provides a rule-based trading platform to active and institutional traders. The company‘s other operating subsidiary, TradeStation Technologies, Inc., develops and offers strategy trading software tools to subscribers.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to be the primary recruiter for the Technology Development Team and work directly with the Vice President of Development.

The incumbent’s main responsibility is to find, pre-screen and guide qualified technical candidates through the hiring process quickly and efficiently and to determine optimum recruitment method to develop and maintain a highly qualified candidate pool.

The ideal candidate must have a “detective" mind to be driven to solve problems by thinking "out of the box", demonstrate the ability to follow logical (and sometimes illogical) paths to find information on hard-to-find candidates, knowledgeable and capable of recruiting for technology development, specifically in areas as defined by the Vice President of Development.

Senior Software Engineer – Front Office – Plantation, FL
Our Engineering Front Office Department is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement and maintain software applications; work with contacts from multiple departments on requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, roll-out and maintenance; provide thorough documentation for assigned projects; act as a Lead of certain projects and track and report status of assigned tasks.

The ideal candidate must have strong C++, OOD/OOP and Win32 SDK. MFC, ATL, COM, STL, multi-threading programming and XML. .NET framework, database development, web development and UI frameworks: StingRay, BCGSoft, preferable. Proficiency with development tools such as BoundsChecker, TrueTime, MemoryValidator, and VTune. The successful candidate must have strong analytical and design skills, follows best programming practices and produces high quality code. Provides accurate time estimates and complete assignments on schedule, exhibits abilities to learn and apply latest technologies to current development environment; very focused / self-driven, can work under little supervision in a standalone or team configuration, adheres to department policies and procedures (coding standards, etc…). Have the ability to work on multiple projects at once in a fast paced environment. New projects and legacy projects, demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively discuss technical issues with non-technical audience.

BS in Computer Science or equivalent. MS preferred and 8 years of professional development experience using C++, MFC, ATL and COM.

Agile Test Engineers – Richardson, TX
Our Development Team is looking for detail oriented engineers to work as testers on Agile teams building high throughput low latency server side software for our award winning stock market trading products.

Our highly respected Agile teams develop products that process thousands of trades in stock, futures, options and Forex trades every day. If you want to blend in and take it easy then apply elsewhere. However, if you want to be a key member of a high velocity team whose code is being used by tens of thousands of users on a second by second basis then this is the place for you.

Our Richardson, Texas office is seeking professionals with 2+ years of software testing experience. Our servers run on MS Windows Server and are written in C++, SQL and C#, experience in one or more of these areas are required. Applicants should have experience writing unit, acceptance and/or automated tests. Previous experience with Agile, Extreme Programming (XP) or Scrum is beneficial.

Data Center Operator – Richardson, TX & Chicago, IL
TradeStation Technologies is seeking Data Center Operators to perform daily operations in our data centers in Richardson, TX and Chicago, IL.
The incumbent will be responsible for all operations activities during his/her shift, guarantee software and hardware upgrades at the data centers. Guarantee the functionality and monitor all application following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee all established procedures related to operations at the Data Center are followed.
  • Complete logs to properly monitor systems.
  • Serve as “hands and eyes” to technical staff at the Data Centers.
  • Install and deploy hardware, cabling and systems as required.
  • Interact with vendors to guarantee functionality of all parts of the Data Center.
  • Perform Data Center upgrade and maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure security of systems.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Data Center software and hardware configurations.
  • Basic understanding of network concepts and/or administration.

Applications Systems Analysts II (2) – Plantation, FL
Our IT Department is seeking dynamic, team oriented individuals to fill the positions of Systems Analyst II. The analysts will support, modify, analyze, and develop programming systems including Web and SQL applications, consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. The incumbents may be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.

Main Duties:
Develop new and modify existing ASP.NET web sites. Develop and modify existing SQL queries and procedures. Provide ideas to improve and optimize current systems (code and logic). Optimize SQL and .NET code for peak performance. Review, assess and approve project development completed by other team members.

Requirements:
The successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of working experience as a MSSQL Server and .Net Application developer. Must be able to meet with users and understand requirements in order to provide a quality product, must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA, and/or MCSD certification preferred. VB.Net, Classic ASP, Crystal Report, Onyx, Great Plains and Cold Fusion a plus.

Network and System Administrator I – Chicago, IL
Our IT Department is seeking a dynamic, team oriented individual for the position of Network and System Administrator. This individual will primarily be responsible (at varying degrees) for the design, analysis, performance, administration and/or control of data network infrastructures on a central and remote basis. The incumbent will plan, organize and direct multiple or large concurrent projects involving all phases of work, including providing technical and functional deliverables to meet established service delivery standards and customer/user needs.

Main Duties:

  • Manages the Microsoft Active Directory
  • Manages user permissions and data security
  • Manages Server OS and hardware

Senior Web Engineer - Plantation, FL
We are currently seeking a talented Senior Web Engineer to join our team to design, implement and maintain web based applications.  Ideal candidate will have 4 years of professional experience developing web sites and web applications using Microsoft Technologies. Proficiency with .NET (ASP.NET, VB.NET and/or C#, web services), ASP, HTML/DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, IIS, SQL Server, VB, ActiveX/COM, XML, OOD/OOP is required.  Programming experience with AJAX, C++ a plus.  Successful candidate must have strong design and analytical skills, be detailed-oriented, multi-task, work with minimum supervision and effectively meet timelines in a deadline-oriented environment.  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred) or related field experience is required.

Software Tester – Client Team – Plantation, FL
We have an opening in our Software Testing and Quality Assurance Department for an experienced client application Windows based software tester.  Duties include testing of complex Windows based trading platform applications for accuracy, performance and stability, test plan creation and execution, documentation and tracking of program defects and programming in our proprietary EasyLanguage.

Position Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to work individually and on team projects, have the ability to multi-task and possess strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, a broad based knowledge of Visual Studio C++, Windows programming, and Software Development Life Cycle processes is required. Experience in Mercury Quality Center tools is preferred. Knowledge of brokerage/financial services systems is a plus.

Software Tester – Data Team – Plantation, FL
Join our Quality Assurance department, which tests the TradeStation Data Network Software and Data Integrity components. Work very closely with the engineering department to learn, test, document and report any discrepancies. Your primary focus will be in the realm of software testing of key components that make up the building blocks of our data network. Essential Job Functions: test all code changes to the TradeStation Network Software components; test changes made to a multi-tier client-server environment working with Engineering in Richardson, TX and Plantation, FL; and test other areas that may affect the stability of the TradeStation network software and/or integrity of data.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related science degree with experience in client/server/SQL based systems. Knowledge of Visual Studio C++ is strongly preferred and software testing experience is definitely a plus.  The work as a Data Server Team software tester requires strong communication skills, and a team player that is assertive and goal-oriented, but who can also work on repetitive tasks as needed to achieve those goals without much supervision.
